Working with the Glendale Veteran's community we always enjoyed bringing 62-2108 to Mayor Wier's event
The team; Scott Hurst, Dave Barron, Carl Long, Wilbur Hartle & Ron Dwight (minus Jake) who restored the UH-1H that saw combat in RVN This experienced team worked hand in glove with the Architects, Fabricators, Civil Engineers and City staff to bring Vance Wiley's concepts to Peoria.
Both the OH-58A and UH-1H (174) have been at the starting point of the walk. We are proud to attend each year
It is always our honor to participate with an interactive aircraft dispaly for the kids and adults to sit in and spark an interest in aviation.
This year we again participated in the Luke AFB airshow. We brought out OH-58A 70-15569 for public display.
We are excited to support our home airport!!
LHL joins with the Frank Luke Museum to bring the aircraft to thousands of watchers each year.
In 2014 and 2015 we supported the nephew of Gary Dubach KIA RVN 14Feb1968 at the former Stop & Shop surplus store owned by Sean Hewitt.
Huey 7174 was the guest of the EAA Museum in 2017. Light Horse Legacy was front and center during the entire run of Airventure 2017. Our CFO Paula Barron coordinated the event, Ron Dwight and Joe McClusky were there to insure all went well.
We were honored to display 7174 and present the crew of Medevac 12 at the Museum for Fatherfest. The crew spoke at each showing. As a result of their generous hospitalityLHL presented the Museum with a McCullough J-2 gyrocopter donated by Marv Wessel.
LHL hosted the crew and families of Medevac 12 for a long overdue Welcome Home parade
LHL traveled to California's Coachella Valley where they provided technical information and skills in this modern art piece. OH-58C 68-16940 a Viet Nam veteran herself was the base for this exhibit. Our mechanics put in travel and long hours to repair a lot of damage.
2019 again saw Light Horse Legacy invited to be a part of the Airfare. This year the Copperstate Fly-in moved as well. Our venerable OH-58A partnered with the Phoenix 99's
Our CEO Dave Barron was an invited guest of the crew and families of Medevac 12 for their 50th year rememberance of the loss of Gary Dubach and Stephen Schumacher 14 February 1969. All of the LHL family are extremely proud of what we contributed to this crew and family members.
LHL supports other museums. In July 2018 we worked with Wings and Rotors Air Museum to transport their newest rescue, a Huey that was forlorn at Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos
LHL provided a Huey to this event. Hundreds of kids big and small took pictures inside this historic ship
